On slower machines: the more cycles run, the more likely it is to lose the UOM and end with an E-2 error on the reader.

Need the logs but I suspect this is an issue with the downgrade script.  I am using was using the similar logic and had to fix it our we stated the update with an empty serial number.

Moving from critical to normal. Move this to close after reliability testing is completed.
